CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Scientific Program Committee is pleased to invite you to submit abstracts for presentation at the International Meeting “NEEDS AND CHALLENGES IN TRANSLATION MEDICINE: Filling the gap between basic research and clinical applications”.

Deadline for the submission of abstracts is Friday, August 15, 2008.

To highlight timely  and novel work, we will accept a small number number late-breaking abstracts. The deadline for late-breaking abstracts is September 14, 2008. Due to the late nature of this process, late-breaking abstracts will not be published  in the abstract book.

Abstracts will be accepted for either POSTER or as FREE COMMUNICATION LECTURES. If you would like your abstract to be considered as a free communications lecture, please let us know when submitting your abstract. Your preference will be considered however, the Scientific Committees decision is final.

A limited number of slots are available for free oral presentations.

Any request for an oral that is not accepted will automatically be reconsidered for poster presentation.

The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Secretariat.

Please note that abstract content may be edited at the discretion of the Scientific Committee.

  • CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES

  • INFECTIOUS DISEASES

  • AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES


Rules for submission of abstracts

•    All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.
•    Only abstracts of presenting authors who have paid their registration fees by August 31st, 2008 will be scheduled for presentation and included in the abstract book. 
•    The Scientific Program Committee will review abstracts and information regarding acceptance and scheduling will be sent to the corresponding author.
•    The abstracts for all presentations given will be published in the abstract book.


Guidelines for Submission 

Before you begin, please prepare the following information:
•    Presenting author's contact details; include full mailing address, office hours phone number and email address.
•    Presentation type preference (poster presentation / oral presentation)
•    Author or authors' names: initial(s) of first name(s), family name
•    Affiliation details of all authors: Department; Institution / Hospital; City; State (if relevant); Country.
•    Abstract title (limited to 20 words) in UPPER CASE.
•    Please, do not include symbols, tabs, graphs and references.
•    Abstract text – limited to 350 words

We recommend using word-processing software (for example Word) for editing your abstract and counting the number of words.
